Top 10 Hollywood Movies of 2017 Yes, yes, I know that it’s not the end of 2017 it’s still a long way from this 2017, but after six months of that year, it’s an excellent exercise to analyze what have been the best films of this 2017 UNTIL NOW.

As always I write these publications, I warn that obviously, I can only do these listings with movies that I have seen and of course as those that always arrive at theaters are the Blockbusters Hollywood, there is usually a strong tendency to be this type of films that appear on the list. But well, without further ado we start to see what are the 10 best films of this year 2017 UNTIL NOW.

10) Logan (20th Century Fox)

The last feature film in which Hugh Jackman, the young theater actor from Australia turned into a Hollywood superstar, will play the mythical James Howlett, also known as Logan, also known as Wolverine.


9) John Wick: Chapter 2 (Summit Entertainment)

A film that could well enjoy the lovers of the films of Schwarzenegger, Tarantino, and even some of the art cinema. Perhaps, as it happened to me, it’s just a matter of looking at what is barely obvious.

A film where all a good direction and a great chemistry of the actors connect, through the recognition and respect of the premise, an existential question, about how we prefer to live, favoring quality, or perhaps quantity.

5) Split (Universal Pictures)

A film that talks about the need to face the worst of enemies that can have the human being: their own traumas locked in their own darkness. Fabulous, it could well become a classic. Good for Shyamalan!


4) Kong The Skull Island (Warner Bros. Pictures)

It is one of those very rare films that achieve multiple goals at the same time, in this case pay homage to a great icon of the cinema, tell a human story and credible and also make way for a franchise. Not bad for director Jordan Vogt-Roberts, in his debut in big budget films. Nothing bad.

3) Wonder Woman (Warner Bros. Pictures)

A film that despite a few incoming stumbles, manages to rise and become a film piece that stands out in the superhero movies, delivering a message that goes beyond frivolity, action sequences and cheap jokes.

2) Alien: Covenant (20th Century Fox)

Alien: Covenant not only manages to be a decent sequel to Prometheus , but is a fitting addition to the Alien Universe, mixing an entertaining film, a powerful premise, a striking story and excellent performances.
